On a crisp fall day—October 22, 2022—Jennifer and Roy celebrated their love with a romantic wedding at the stunning Stone Mill at The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG). Nestled in the Bronx, this historic venue offered the perfect blend of natural beauty, elegant charm, and serene riverfront views. As a NYC wedding photographer, I always love photographing weddings at NYBG. I find it especially enjoyable when the autumn leaves are at their peak.
Getting Ready and First Look
Jennifer got ready surrounded by her closest friends and family. Her makeup and hair, styled by @vickyc5ny, was effortlessly elegant—just like her personality. Meanwhile, Roy prepared nearby, full of excitement for their first look.
They met privately in the gardens, exchanging smiles and a quiet embrace beneath the golden canopy of fall foliage. It was the perfect start to an emotional and heartfelt day.
Ceremony by the Bronx River
Their outdoor wedding ceremony took place beside the peaceful Bronx River. The trees were dressed in rich hues of amber, orange, and gold. Guests were seated along the garden path, surrounded by nature, as Jennifer and Roy exchanged personal vows under a floral arch created by @rachelchofloral.
With soft sounds of the river behind them and heartfelt tears all around, the ceremony felt intimate, warm, and unforgettable.
Cocktail Hour and Live Music Vibes
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a stylish cocktail hour enhanced by live jazz from @bdlenz. The setting sun cast a golden glow over the garden as drinks flowed and laughter filled the air. The soundscape was perfected by @marcushodj. He seamlessly transitioned from soft cocktail vibes to upbeat reception tunes later in the night.
Reception at the Historic Stone Mill
The reception space inside the Stone Mill was a cozy, candle-lit dream. @ulsnyc transformed the space with tasteful lighting and elegant rentals. This elevated the rustic charm of the venue.
From heartfelt speeches to an energetic dance floor, the night was full of genuine joy. @byconstellationny served a phenomenal dinner. They also provided a beautiful wedding cake that perfectly capped off the celebration.

As their photographer, it was a joy to document every moment—from emotional glances during the ceremony to carefree dancing late into the night.
