Samantha and Jared’s May engagement session began at 7am, when the Upper East Side and Central Park were still quiet and glowing with soft morning light — the perfect setting for a NYC wedding photographer who loves candid, natural moments. We started along Madison Avenue’s elegant limestone facades and flower-lined doorways, then wandered into Central Park as the sun climbed higher. From playful strolls across Bow Bridge to romantic portraits beneath the grand arches of Bethesda Terrace and a dreamy silhouette by the Lake with the San Remo towers behind them, every frame captured their easy laughter and connection. Early morning sessions like this one are a favorite of mine — no crowds, golden light, and plenty of room for real, unposed moments. If you’re planning an engagement session or searching for the best documentary wedding photographer in NYC for candid moments, take a look at my portfolio or contact me to book your date.
