In April 2026, I spent an afternoon photographing Meggan and Brian’s engagement session in SoHo, NYC. As an NYC wedding photographer, SoHo is one of my favorite neighborhoods for engagement photos — and this session shows exactly why.
Meggan wore a beautiful white dress with a flowing veil, and the city became our backdrop. We started on the quiet cobblestone streets, framed by SoHo’s iconic cast-iron buildings. At one point, a yellow taxi blurred past just as they leaned in close — a perfect New York moment, completely unplanned.
From there, we wandered down Broadway. They kissed in the middle of the street with the city stretching behind them. Then, they walked hand in hand past street vendors and old brick buildings, laughing the whole way. These candid, in-between moments are always my favorite to capture.
Finally, we ended at the Canal St subway station. There is something so romantic about a bride-to-be in a veil descending those steps — classic New York, told in black and white.
An engagement session in the city is more than just photos. It’s a chance to relax in front of the camera before your wedding day, and to capture the place your love story lives. For couples searching for a Manhattan wedding photographer, Brooklyn wedding photographer, candid engagement photos, or documentary style NYC engagement photography, SoHo never disappoints.

Congratulations, Meggan and Brian.
