Sarah and Avi’s September wedding at Brooklyn Grange remains one of my favorite celebrations as a Brooklyn wedding photographer — a rooftop farm in full late-summer bloom, with sunflowers swaying against the Manhattan skyline. The day began with portraits around the iconic Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, where Sarah’s floral-embroidered gown and Avi’s dusty blue suit looked perfectly at home against the brick streets. Then we headed up to the farm, where they exchanged vows under a colorful striped chuppah surrounded by rows of vegetables, wildflowers, and the glowing city beyond. As the sun set, guests gathered for a long farm-to-table dinner under string lights, followed by joyful hora dancing, a homemade naked cake, and quiet stolen kisses with the Empire State Building twinkling in the distance. Documentary moments like these — real laughter, golden light, and a city that never stops — are exactly why I love being a NYC wedding photographer.
